Why am I Anti-RH Bill?
I am a Catholic. But I will set aside my religion and I will
let God have a rest as I state my views on the bill. Average reasonable person
style.
- The Department Of Health already have an existing program for mother and child health and this includes reproductive health. So for me its already redundant to pass another law for it, specially that the program, statistically is reaching its goals.
- Contraceptives aren’t fool proof, baby bump accidents do happen, one paper even showed an incident of fertilization even after ligation. (but it’s a one in a million incident) If one wants to avoid pregnancy and/or sexually transmitted infections abstinence is the key.
- Billions in funds for something that isn’t fool proof and redundant is not justifiable for me.
- I am pro-choice but sex without even a slightest hint of responsibility will simply promote promiscuity, we are definitely not animals and we abide by our morals.
- Lastly the bill, I say ,is not the best immediate solution to fight poverty.
All we need is some love for discipline and contentment.
Population is not the culprit, people are.
What we need is discipline, better outlook in our lives and better
principles to hang on, both for the public-servant-leaders and the people of
the Philippines.
