My position regarding Mideo Cruz's art works
Art is lurking around us to tell us about things, as a freedom of one's expression. It could be sometimes a hard blow of what reality is.
I know the works of Mideo Cruz is offensive and quite obscene, so i can't blame people hyping up the issue, but there must be a good reason why the artist made his ''magnum opus'' to look like that, unless he really worships satan day and night. Anyway we could give a benefit of the doubt that maybe it's a representation on how deconstructed the filipino society is. How people tell they are ''sagrado catolico'' but their lives roll around sexualized and materialized idolatry. The irony of life.
We could not really tell what is on an artist's mind. but one thing is for sure, art is there to be interpreted by an open mind and to shout whatever the mind and the heart is saying that words can never really tell.
